then I have another side neighbor who has 4 small dogs, I call them yippee and skippy, when they leave they put them out and they bark nonstop!!ugh!

Then on the other corner, they are so noisy as they collect junk and bang and make noise, otherwise they have learned to be quiet.

With having ms and up all night sick, when I do finally get sleep, there they are to make sure I dont!

I had to call the dog pound on barking dogs nonstop for a month 2 mo ago to get the other neighbors who let their dogs bark nonstop all day to stop it. These across the street are slick they do it just long enough not to be caught.

I was here before any of this white trash moved in and they well, need to move. I am considering moving, but with my MS its quite difficult.

We decided that the only way we could get "protection" was to start our own
gang. Thus the "North Emerson Ladies Sewing Circle and Street Gang" was
founded in the summer of 2006 (or thereabouts). In order to be a "real
gang", we must have colors, a hand sign, a logo plus a criminal activity.
That was a stumper until I got my one and only (so far) commission for
artwork. Our criminal activity is stealing specific intellectual property,
that is, the "tagging" designs left on property by the nasty little vandals
who live in our community. Most Sunday mornings my wonderful husband drives
me through lots of scuzzy alleys (and some nice ones too) to gather photos.
I print them on fabric for use in artwork.

I decided to be honest and try and find out who owns the "designs".... the
homeowner who's property was spray-painted? the police who take pictures of
it (heaven knows why.... they just do)? or me? The local constabulary was
almost rude when I asked them, so I suggested to them that I might copyright
the "designs" and charge them a fee to use them in a court of law. They
were not amused.

They must have taken me seriously, as that question probably drained their
legal retainer, because the gang problem in our neighborhood magically
disappeared and the boom cars turned quiet. They even watched the videos (which they told us we couldn't do under threat of Something Awful) and agreed that the "stars" of the video were indeed performing prosecutable offences.

The North Emerson Ladies Sewing Circle and Street gang will continue... our

Finally got those stopped after several calls to police. But, police seem averse to doing anything about the honking. Officer basically said, "Well, they're just locking the door. And you can't make people be good neighbors".
Um.. what about the 11 p.m. till 7 a.m. noise ordinance?? And the fact that there are 4 ways to lock your car (if you include turning off the horn honk, which is very easy) without waking a soul???

I have fantasized about somehow tying their heads down next to the horn, setting off their panic alarm, and letting stand their listening to the noise up close and personal till the battery dies..

Anybody solved this problem?? Mama seems to have a little money, and the boys have minimum wage jobs, so this ain't gonna clear on its own..

So one day I was clearing some undergrowth in my yard and one of the neighbors came over and asked if I could clear her section as well, so like a GOOD NEIGHBOR I said yes I would.

Well I proceeded to clear the area at her request and found myself stuck in a mud hole. She comes outside and comments how great everything looked and noticed my unfortunate situation with the machine I had rented. She comments that her husband would be home shortly and he would help me remove the machine from the mud hole.

Well he comes home and comes in the backyard and says to me.......where are all my beautiful pine trees and white tiger Lilly’s. So I said your wife asked me to clear back here for you guy's....he comments that she has been trying to get him to clear the back for over 10 years. So needless to say he was not happy and I removed the machine on my own.

So about 12 months pass and I purchase a couple of miniature horses......after about 2 months of ownership the kids decide they want to make some extra money and ask if they could set up a lemonade stand and offer free pony rides for $1.00 w/the lemonade. Of course I say yes......so the kids make up flyers and attach them to everyone's mailbox, they sit there all day with no customers......and played all day with the Mini's. The next day at the bus stop one of the neighbors says can I talk to you after we drop the kids off? So of course I say yes........he tells me that they are all concerned about the business I am trying to run from my property...and I ask what business. He reply's the Pony Business...I say the pony business you have got to be kidding. So I assure him that we have no intensions of running any pony business within the cul-de-sac and that the kids were just expressing their entrepreneurial skills for the day.

So the Wife's go out walking together without any mention of the ponies. Right after they go for the weekly walk the other wife's head into Town expressing concerns about the pony's on our property to Town Hall. So to make a very long story short they got Conservation involved and now we have had to have our property Delineated and Marked for possible Wetlands violations etc.

Conservation comes to a decision and of course they appeal the decision and are now putting NO TRESPASSING SIGNS in our front yard which is part of an easement and have been relentless to try and make our lives miserable.

Throughout this entire process they have attempted several times to sue us for clearing their property (I REPEAT THIS WAS AT THE WIFE"S REQUEST) and at the same time they have attempted to try and socialize with us as if nothing happened. Oh yeah and one of them had themselves appointed to the Conservation Board and is now a Committee Member.....I can not believe how insane these people are.

All this chaos because of a GOOD DEED GONE BAD........One would think that they have more important things to attend to.

Well, approximately one year ago, we had an incident. I live on a corner of our shred road and a small, dead end road. I routinely take my dogs into their own backyard, to relieve themselves and play for a few minutes. I have 3 dogs. One is a large black German shepherd that visits a nursing home and is docile and sweet. The other is a black, female German shepherd, that is very energetic, agile and vocal. She loves to play. The third is a small assize shepherd mix, that is shy around people still, as she was a rescue. So wasn’t the neighbor’s dog next door.

This neighbor was walking her dog along the edge of my property with one of those extendable leashes and her baby, in a stroller. Her dog is about 5 lbs and mine are 142lbs, 70lbs and 27lbs. Well, she panicked or was startled, allowed her dog to run out the full length of the extendable leash, and flip himself over. She cursed and screamed and carried on. My dogs were checking out her dog, licking and sniffing him and not paying much mind. She continued to stand at the edge of my property, lecturing me about a leash law and bla bla bla. I replied that she had nothing to worry about and that my dogs were extremely friendly and excited when they saw other dogs. I told her that I did dog rescue and that I was passionate about them ad that I was sorry she was startled. She continued to scream and shout “good for you!” and that she had a right to “protect her baby and her dog.” I laughed at her and told her that her dog looked “just fine” because my dogs were just hanging around, not agitated, not aggressive, they just startled her. She became angry, shouting nasty comments and stomped away. I took my dogs back in the house, shaking my head. I figured that she was just startled and jangled from our encounter, so I dismissed it.

Well, immediately after, this became her “regular route” and my business, her crusade. She would walk by my house 4 times a day, hoping that her dog would go to the bathroom on my lawn or one of my neighbor’s. She would and still does, walk along the property line, on our side of the road. A few times, my dogs have been out [with me and always with me] and have run to the edge of the property, occasionally stepping a paw in the road, but always return to us, when called. This neighbor curses and carries on each and every time she sees them. She has never taken the time to familiarize herself or even be the least bit neighborly.

On one occasion, about a month ago, my dog sitter was taking my dogs out, in their own backyard to relieve themselves, and the neighbor [husband] was at the edge of my property and began to scream and shout, pointing his finger at her. She replied “Hey, I’m just the dog sitter.” That didn’t stop him from screaming and yelling. She became so afraid, that she walked the perimeter of our yard for the next 2 days, until we returned home, checking for sharp objects or poisoned food items, as she was very fearful, given his tenor and the nature of their confrontation. I encouraged the dog sitter to go to the police station and voice her concerns, as the police were well aware of this situation. She did and they listened to her, telling her not to worry and to call them if there’s any more incidents. I myself, have had nightmares, that I have had to communicate to a therapist, because I was so disturbed and fearful of these people. My thought process was that they were a very real threat to my dogs, since they were so persistent and not yet getting “what they had hoped for” from the police. This is documented and has been discussed with the therapist.

On one occasion, we received a letter from the Police Department in town. I responded via email and will forward all of my correspondences, when I return home this evening. I also received a visit from a police officer, who was very nice. I asked him to come in and talk with me and he did. We had a very nice conversation and I did mention that I am feeling harassed and almost like these people are trying to entrap us or harass us in our own home, for no good reason. I also resent the fact that all of my other neighbors, with or without dogs, have NEVER had a complaint and never had any unpleasant encounters with my dogs. Yet this woman moves into my neighborhood and just has continually been my “enemy” of sorts, placing herself in a position that she swears to the police “scares her” but she does it 4 times a day? Come on, now.

In any case, the policeman saw that my dogs were calm, that they listened to me and that they were very large, black and intimidating looking. If I had 2 yorkie terriers like her, I’m sure she would not have called the police. She is clearly fearful, therefore making our lives miserable.

Well, yesterday when I returned home, I had a citation in the mail for $25.00, citing us for “Unrestrained, aggressive dog attacking person” or something like that. I was irate! I was outside with the dogs, when my female ran to the edge of the road and came right back, when I called her. Again, this neighbor was walking on the property line and not on the opposite side of the road. She walked back towards her home, after scooping up her dog and yelling “Oh my god!” I took the dogs immediately around back to avoid any further drama. In my eyes, this is the equivalent of calling the police and saying “she’s speeding down the road.” Would they mail her a ticket? I was there and Is aw what happened. The police were not.

I am exhausted and out of ideas with these people. I fear for my dogs and feel that we are being victimized. I will appeal this citation and I will forward all of my email correspondences with you. I am desperate for help with this situation. This can’t be ok.

Yesterday in Iowa we got 8-10 inches of snow, with drifting our driveway had piles up to 18" deep. We don't have a snowblower (he broke it, and rather than fix it, sold it to a friend), we don't have a plow, we just shovel it out. Occassionally our good neighbor (thank god we have 1 good neighbor) will come over and snow blow the gravel part of our driveway (since we never shovel that, we just drive over it). He couldn't yesterday cause his snowblower sounded terrible - he was having trouble keeping it running long enough to do his own.

So I went out and shovelled about half of our paved driveway, kinda pulled a back muscle so stopped. (waited for hubby to get home and finish it - sorry dear - thanks though!)

Nut job neighbor (we like to call her Crazy - with a capital C), is out in her driveway, while I am in the house, and from the inside of my house (through my windows) I can hear her ranting about how important it is that she take care of her child and we don't know what responsibility is. (Crazy has her driveway plowed, had it plowed Tuesday when there were only 2 inches on it, rather than after the snow storm was done on Wednesday.)

this is the same woman that left her "child" home all day, unsupervised, because schools were closed and she had to go to work. if taking care of her "child" is so important (the poor girl is in middle school, and I say poor girl because I would have sympathy for anyone whose mom was that crazy).

she does this kinda crap all year long - outside her house shouting about this or that. I am going to look into a surveillance system that picks up sound and create a "Best of Crazy" tape. Then when she crosses the line (which I am sure she will - many crazy people usually do) I will have a wonderful "character witness".

Two residents moved, allowing more trash to move in. They have to sell or lease the condo's, or homes; so, if nobody else will move in, they pander to anyone.

Now, we have three homes full of people who have set out to ruin paradise.

So, I met up with some other neighbors. We got some ideas.

These people had to go. I had most neighbors sign a petition to allow us to return some of the harassment.

Childish, yes, but you have no idea what these people do.

I already have an air compressor for some tools. I spent $35 on ebay and bought a horn set. Gamewell Diaphone horns. They sound like fog horns. We had a curfew in the development, so we all agreed that we needed some way to communicate to these trashy kids that they need to go home.

9PM - 7AM were quiet times. No children age 0-17 are to be on the streets. So, every day at 9PM and 7AM. I let these horns have a nice wail. The association agreed that it was working, so I installed them higher than saw horses. I put them on my roof, pointed directly at the neighbors house. My excuse "that's the general direction of all the other homes."

Now, when ever I hear their music, I whip out my ear piercing walmart sale special boat horn. Haven't had any problems with trespassing since they tried to destroy a camera. I made a copy for them, and had the police deliver it. I said, you see, the camera is just a 'vehicle' for the signal, the VCR records it. So, if you stand in front of it with a BB gun, shooting, it will record all of that, and save it; even after the camera is destroyed. I still have a video of you destroying it. Went to court, sued them for $15,000.00, expenses and damages. Won.

Next day, cops are at my door. Neighbors accusing me of 'keying' their cars. I offered my security videos, which show most of the front of their home, the street and their driveway.

One of thier sons did the keying, with a screw driver. I pressed charges, and again sued for wrongful arrest. Won. Got a court order to prevent them from coming onto my property.

This was your typical Pleasantville of rural housing developments. Then, one evening in February of 1994, all hell broke loose. We had a blizzard that night. So the neighborhood association in all its infinite wisdom got this bright idea to shut off the fire hydrants so they didn't freeze, even though they had never done this before, or had any problems with that. Around comes 2AM.. It's a long story, but it all leads to the demise of the association.

I hear this "POP" like a balloon and glass. We make our way onto the deck, no cars, the streets haven't even been plowed yet. Didn't see anything else, or hear anything. Ten minutes go by, the power goes out. We have underground lines. About a half hour later, we can hear this snapping and just a roar sound. Go outside again, this time we trudge out to the street, at least three feet of snow. No lights, snowing like hell, the glow gives it away. Our neighbors house was on fire, she was using a forced air propane 'salamander' heater in the bedroom... We were hearing this propane tank vent. The house was really rockin, I mean the second floor was fully engulfed by flames. A quick phone call later, and the fire siren was going off.. They got there fast, but couldn't get into the development, at all. The roads were covered with 3-10 feet of snow, drifted. They got the idea to drag in hose with snowmobiles and operate off the fire hydrants. Can't do that, they're shut off, all of them. We can't find the Assoc. Public Works guy, he isn't home, the water lines don't use a conventional main key. So, we can't turn the hydrants on until they find what the works guy did with their unique key. If that wasn't bad enough, we couldn't find the fire hydrants either. It's amazing how lost you get in so much snow.

At this point, they couldn't even plow the street b/c of how heavy the snow was. So, realizing we were screwed, we took our valuable stuff out of the house and put it in our concrete pool house, b/c it has metal siding and roof. The wind carried the fire to eight other homes, including ours. By the time they got a fire truck on scene, all but one was collapsed.

The house where the fire started, the woman died, what was left of her was in the cellar, next to this massive jet-engine looking propane heater.

Her son sued the Association for $43M (yes.. million) in a wrongful death suit, and WON...

The Association went bankrupt, and sold out real cheap. We moved to the end of the street, where they were only two homes left. Where the eight homes burned is now a small community like building, w/ an association meeting hall, and then a park.

All of what we agreed to do to live in harmony has pretty much gone down the drain. While we do have more land, we still had a neighbor... If the homes weren't so nice, and spacious, we would have moved. But, financially, we had to stay. Anyhoo.. The neighbors.

An elderly couple lived in the home, they were only there two months a year.. They were so nice, like grandparents to us. One passed away, the other stayed in Florida.

A man and a woman moved in. Prior rules only allowed families, married, with two children; to buy homes.

I guess the new folks lost that page. They had six children, four black, two a little of both, and they were both white. The man was local, kind of white trash; the woman was from North Carolina, a really fake deep southern voice. Right from the start, we had problems. I don't care if they're black, white, red, or orange; married or gay. I just want peace and quiet, and to be left alone; and I signed a contract that said I could have that. They signed a contract affording them the same privilege's and that they would uphold that to everyone else.

While they were moving in, there was a massive, portable radio 'boom box' outside playing vile rap music.

I didn't say anything, at all, I left them to move in. Two weeks later, they were still moving in I guess, b/c every day that vile rap music was playing.

One night, like a quarter to midnight, stuff starts to vibrate. I went outside, and they must assume I enjoy this, so they start dancing -at me-, and turn it up louder. I motion, and plug my ears, and shake my head 'NO".

This means louder to them. I close the door, and I can feel the bass in my chest, it was so loud. I called the association, years ago, someone would have answered. I got a machine. I just let it record the sound, and finally said, my contract says this won't happen.

I called the police. They came quickly, b/c they could barely hear me.

The second a cop car comes into view, the noise stops.

Cop leaves.

Knock at my door.. 1:30am.. I look through the hole, I hear.. "you know exactly who the fuck it is". I said, with that attitude, I'm not going to speak with you.

The music goes back on. I call the police again, explain what took place. They come with two unmarked cars, no headlights. Walk up to the boom box, which is now outside, alone, all their lights are off. The police shut it off, knock on the door.. Nobody answers. Two more cars arrive, lights flashing, the association president (which no longer holds any meaning of grandeur) shows up. He thinks I'm over reacting, I threaten to sue them for breach of contract if they allow this to continue. Loud music, every day, all day. I don't even own a radio, except what in my car.

The cops leave. They come out, turn the radio back on and wheel it inside. Then shut it off. At this point, I'm worn out and probably hypertensive.

I go to work. Come home, my mail is laying on the porch, with a letter. Asking me to please install a mail box, or my mail will be held. WTF. I work as an EMT, so I had a nifty little ambulance -shaped mail box, I went through a lot just to put that up. I walk to the curb.. It's gone, post and all. I wait till morning, and call the state police. My mail box was stolen. They come out, look around, can't do much, suggest I get a generic mailbox.

I get one, install it. Next morning.. It's gone. Call the police again, they question the poor innocent neighbors, of course they never saw anything. There has never been any crime on the street before, until they move in, but this is all just a coincidence.

I get a P.O. Box.

Two weeks go by, I find my ambulance mailbox floating in the pool with some sort of fecal matter in it. I call the police, they take it for evidence. I have the pool drained, and cleaned.

I come home one day, all of their kids are in my pool. I ask them to leave, they say 'f__k off cracker, we go our own way". I called 9-1-1, asked for the police, I wasn't having on confrontation with racist children.

Several cars come, I refuse to let it go, and press charges on all of them. They broke a lock on my fence to get in. I ask, w/ all the police there, the parents.. What did I do to deserve all this harassment and abuse? The neighbors said, you're just in the way.. HOW?????????? because I hate rap music?

The next morning, I find my garage door open, and the cord to my volunteer EMT light on my pickup has been cut. They dragged the light across the paint, severely damaging the paint, but couldn't get the light off b/c it had four 150lb pull magnets. So, they use a tack hammer to break the light.

The trouble is while I live a simple quiet life, the neighbors to the north of me in IXL trailer park just hired a man to drop tons of additional snow right
on the property line . This melts down into my basement.
I could not even acess my own property and the manger lady cares not.
She told me she didnt do it but she hired the man who did.

I don't have money to pay for snow removal and I can't shovel it. I got my old 1987 Blazer stuck. I was denied access to my own two acers!

So each day I have to walk through snow waist high to get to my backdoor
cold and wet I am getting sick from having wet feet. I even fell down in it is so high.

basic training for all, walk on balls of feet, headphones, talk soft, no door slamming, shoes off, gel soles, no music, can't hear tv, no playing, laughing, tickling, company, COOK AND DO DISHES QUIETLY (you should have seen thanksgiving),no tantrums, extra mats, extra curtains, heavy duty earplugs, no talking on computer for teens beloved on line games, no knocking or very little, no singing, and so on.

passing drugs to maintenance who are friends and hang around our place all day. LOUD TALKING all hours, door slamming, POUNDING ON CEILING all hours for what? snoring (we do snore alot.) arrogant, spoiled, negative, and beastly. he and the others moaning, groaning, complaining about every sound, name calling all hours, even in complete quiet. i know he listening to everything because he says all day "did you hear that?," and "i cant stand that bitch!" my husband calls him *george jefferson because he is such a hot head. my feet hurt from walking soft so much so that when he pounds at them he hurts me. when we are happy he slams doors and scares us. he makes my boy cry by pounding at his back while sleeping.

managers advice to call police:

called police and he lies while complaing that we are are noisey, that this has been an ongoing problem, that he called on us.

keeps on and on:

then gets manager to tell me to stop calling the police and with him in her office, on the phone she says she doesn't belive us even with a list of times, incident numbers, and dates in her hand.

day after thanksgiving:

storms stairs, pounds door 12:30 pm, yells at husband about my son having a fit over coming in form outside which i was TRYING TO CONTROL. we get all the favorite gheto insults and a threat that "if we call the police we will see what happens." in the meantime he has called already and then manages to generate another notice from the manager after the police leave.

i can hear him telling the neighbors about my illness, that it is catchy and now my son has lost his only good friends.

the WORST part:

i am in so much pain, discomfort, and misery. i have all the responsibility and *george has nothing better to do than to try to control my life from beneath my feet.

anyone please give me advice on noise control for us or anything you that that can help us quell this hostile enviroment. i do want everyone to be happy!

The woman apparently does not work and holes up in the house most of the day, marijuana smoke drifting out of the windows. Her husband is an total a**, a domineering redneck who uses his lawn as his personal auto junk yard--he has junker trucks, a old lawmnmower, and old motorcycle, piles of wood, etc. on the lawn. He doesn't get garbage pickup, instead burning the garbage in his back yard by pouring kerosene and spraying aerosol spray(!!) on the fire to keep it burning. He burns his garbage close to our wood fence and our garage. Unfortunately we live in an unincorporated town and were notified by county fire enforcement that it isn't illegal to burn garbage here on your property, even though this is, to all appearances, a residential area. I watch everytime he burns garbage because I don't want him burning down my fence or my garage.

Whenever the husband's vehicles break down, he miraculously pulls up with another new junker truck, complete with license plates. Sometimes they even have headlights, sometimes not. He always makes sure to go at least 40 mph through the neighborhood. He used to cut through the end of our driveway to pull up, Dukes of Hazzard style, on his lawn; we put out large concrete blocks to border our driveway, and Luke Duke wanna be finally got the message and stopped.

Another of his unique hobbies is raccoon hunting, leaving his "trophies" to rot on his lawn. Again, as this village is "unincorporated", we have no laws against leaving animal remains in the yard.

For all their behavior, these people go to their Kingdom Hall (where Jehovah Witnesses gather to worship) every few days. Since they have moved in, we have personally been sent letters by local Jehovah Witnesses, imploring us to read certain Bible passages. We have asked other neighbors if they have received these letters, as far as we can determine, no one else has. I have the feeling our holy neighbors feel that we need to be "prayed" for, instead of being responsible for their own actions.

In June of 2002, my older brother passed away and left me his Chicago style brick bungalow located in Chicago, Illinois. The house sits on a 33 foot by 125 foot lot and is around 70 to 80 years old. On the lot to the south side of the bungalow is a brick 2-flat with a third apartment built into what was once a basement utility area. This building on the south belongs to our, “Neighbor From Hell” or NFH. That same year, right after my brother died, I came over to the house for a routine check to be sure it had not been broken into. I discovered 2 of the NFH’s tenants with their car parked on our property. These NFH tenants were busy working on their car as I approached. I told the NFH's tenants that they were trespassing, and that I would call the police if I found them on the property again.
That fall we cleaned up the house and I went through my brother's papers and personal effects. I came across a 1993 survey of his property, now ours, and I noted that the NFH has replaced a chain link fence, between his property and ours, with his own inexpensive, wooden fence. I asked the NFH about his new fence. The NFH claimed that the old chain link fence had 'fallen down' so he had taken it upon himself to replace the old chain link fence with his cheaper, wooden fence. I know that chain link fences do not just 'fall down', so I became suspicious. I measured the distance of the NFH's wooden fence from our house and discovered that the NFH had put his new fence about 1.5 feet over the property line. The NFH had installed his fence along the back southern side of our property for a distance of 55 feet. By taking a strip of land 1.5 feet by 55 feet, the NFH had stolen 82.5 square feet of our land. We hired a surveyor to do a staked survey of our land at a cost of $475. The new survey not only showed the NFH's fence on our land, it also showed that his 25 inch diameter maple tree had over grown the property line, on to our land, by 6 inches! The NFH had increased the size of his back yard and hidden his invasive maple tree from our view.
I showed the new survey to the NFH and then I demanded that he remove his fence from our land. His immediate response was to ask if he could leave his fence where it was, on our land! I told him emphatically, NO! After the NFH removed his fence, I asked the NFH what he intended to do about removing his maple tree from our land. The NFH stated that he did not have any money to pay for the removal of his tree from our land. We called our tree surgeon and had the NFH's maple tree cut down and removed, and then paid the tree surgeon for his work. We then put up a new wooden fence on our side of the property line.

From 2002 to 2007

1) We have observed the NFH's tenants trespassing on our land by walking through our front yard, through our front closed gate, through our back yard, and out through our back closed gate. We have asked the NFH's tenants not to come on our land.

2) We have observed the NFH's tenants trespassing on land in order to play soccer in our front lawn flower beds. We asked the NFH's tenants not to play ball on our land and in our flower beds. The NFH's tenants told us that if we did not like their playing ball in our flower beds, then we needed to put up more fences. We called the Police instead.

3) We have caught the NFH’s tenants parked in their vehicles behind our garage, on our land. We discover the NFH’s trespassing tenants parked on our land, behind our garage when open our garage door, or, when we walk out into the alley to empty the trash.

4) We have caught strange men on our land, lurking directly under our windows, claiming to work for the NFH. We were not asked permission to come on our land, and since these men all said they did not speak English, how were we suppose to know who and why they were there? We called the Police.

5) We have heard the sounds of loud music, yelling, and loud arguments coming from the NFL's apartment building. Neighbors on the other side of the NFH's building, as well as neighbor's across the alley 125 feet away have told us they have been disturbed by the noise level from the NFH's building.

6) We have caught one of the NFH’s women tenants on our land, lurking directly under our windows, and calling upstairs to the NFH's second floor apartment.

7) We have caught strange men, connected to the NFH’s women tenants, on our land, lurking by our front door, and calling upstairs to the NFH's second floor apartment. We asked these strange men to leave our property.

8) We have experienced a strange man, claiming to be connected to the NFH’s women tenants, come to our door, ring our door bell, and then ask us for money. We called the Police.

9) We have found and cleaned up used condoms and condom wrappers from the NFH's property that lies directly between our residences.

We have gone to the NFH's door to ask him and his wife to please control their tenants and stop their tenants from harassing us. The NFH and his wife refused to come outside and would only talk to us through their open window. The NFH and his wife would not listen to what we had to say. We went home and called the Police.
The Chicago Police came to our home and told us that a landlord is not responsible for the actions of his tenants! So we will probably have to keep calling the Police on the NFH's never ending succession of trespassing tenants.
One more thought. The NFH and his wife live in his building with their two daughters under the age of five. Would you want, what I have described in the preceding paragraphs, going on in the same building with your wife and little girls, I think not...

1. My family and I returned from a year away to discover our property covered in Dog Muck. At first we just cleaned it up, but then realized that our neighbors dog was continuing to use our yard as his dumping ground. We sent a letter to all the dog owners in our neighborhood so as to alert attention to the grossness of Dog Muck. We felt this was a good way of telling the people across the street without singling them out. Well that didn't work. All that happened was they got upset and accused us of making an example of them. So we decided to go to their house each time their dog messed in our yard. Oh boy that didn't work because Ted came around and ID'ed the Dog Muck and said it wasn't his dog. So let me get this right???? He actually has a degree in Dog Crap and can ID it. Hhhhhhhhmmmmmmm sounds a little like crap to me. Anyway he did come around on one occasion and clean it up, but VERBALLY ABUSED my wife in the process showing how unapproachable they really are.

CONCLUSION

Should a neighbor have to go to another neighbors house and tell them that their dog messed in the yard OR Should dog owners keep an eye on their dog?

2. The same wonderful couple's son had arranged a baseball game in their yard. Instead of using a ball they used crab apples directing them towards our property. As my wife was leaving with our young children she was hit with mashed crab apple. She then noticed the car was covered in mashed crab apple. So she approached the unapproachable Ted and asked if the kids could hit the apples towards their house. Guess what Ted did? He laughed and said the kids have to have fun. Hhhhhhhmmmmm having fun at someone else’s expense. Ted then approached another neighbor to vent his opinion and was met with an opposed view. When the other neighbor remarked that my Cancer might be part of the reason that we were being careful of rotting mash in our yard and that he could try being sympathetic he replied "Yeah I've tried that hat on and it doesn't fit."

CONCLUSION

Ted is from a class of people that I am unfamiliar with.

3. Ted and Montelle had a compost pile on the very edge of their property except they don't follow the health and safety regulations that govern safety for others. So one day whilst I was in Chemotherapy my wife notices that there are corn cobs scattered around our yard. It was puzzling until my wife noticed the rotting pile of food opposite our yard. Once again she approached them and educated them on the proper way to create a compost pile according the health and safety regulations. Ted laughed at the gripe, but did come and get his families let over food from our yard.

CONCLUSION

The family across the street have no respect for anyone around them.

4. I witnessed the neighbor’s child involved in some bullying tactics on my children. Their child in question was the same kid who thought it was appropriate to explain suicide to my three young (8,6,4) children. I flipped out and shouted some pretty mean stuff to these kids. Later in the day Ted came over to ask my about the incident. I basically told him that his kid was the type of child who dragged the other kids in the neighborhood down and that we never had issues when his kid wasn't present. Ted not for the first time in his presence in the neighborhood took his sons word over that of an adult who witnessed the whole situation. Unbeknown to him I had knowledge of another occasion when his young daughter had called another neighbor a "fat loser." When approached by that neighbor Ted took his child's word over the other neighbor too.

CONCLUSION

This guy is soooooo out of touch with reality that he would actually listen to the monsters he has created over the word of an adult.

MASTER CONCLUSION

These guys should be in a gated community (not the US kind but the UK kind). The only saving grace is that I know how unhappy Ted is getting brow beaten by his wife day in and day out.

The matriarch of this family, about 60, is clearly not of sound mind. I started to hear the stories from other neighbors about how she constantly is calling the police to lodge constant complaints. In one case, when a neighbor came over to discuss the issue, she threw a stream of profanity and threatened them with trespassing.

She is extremely obsessive. I once watched her drive herself crazy one afternoon trying to pick up every single leaf off her lawn, just to get frustrated when the wind blew more leaves. Though she tries to act like a suburban yuppie, I see the redneck background in her dialect, as well as an obsession with scrubbing a fleet of pricey non-collectible cars that they store underneath their house (I guess the cars are some kind of status symbol they require).

We managed to coexist for some time, until our first incident when our dog got loose and ventured into her lawn. As my 7 year old son came to retrieve the dog, she screamed "get your f'g dog out of here". A few days later came the notice from the humane society, at which point my wife and her husband discussed the issue and (I thought) decided we'd call a truce.

Next, she started parking her cars on the curb in a particular position that made it inconvenient for me to back my car out of the driveway. This led to a verbal exchange when I tried to ask them if they might be able to park the car a few feet in front. In fact, she would actually run out and park the car right before I got home from work - and then move it.

The latest incident involves a basketball goal, in which she has found an arcane ordinance that requires the goal to be next to a driveway. Now I have to move the goal.

I've now decided enough is enough. This isn't my first rodeo with an a'hole neighbor, so I've decided to accept the invitation to warfare. I intend to win, and I guess we can all make each other miserable in the process.

So I'm welcoming any and all suggestions. They need to be legal though...I need to be as good or better at using our government resources and legal system as this woman is. But I'll be clear...now that she's asked for war, I plan to provide all she can handle - and I intend to win.

I hope this entire corrective action works out to be the truth. The neighborhood needs some peace.

On the 7th City Council Meeting, I spelled out the reasons for an ordinance change and that it was not made to make it easier to catch violators but to make it easier for the officers to enforce and fairer for the citizens. The police just do not understand sound propagation.

The just of it is this. No matter where you live, or the time of day, there is an Ambient Sound level in your area. In a residential area, that is usually 40 dBA at night and 45 dBA during the day. It varies with the amount of background noise. Now, the noise is measured AT THE PROPERTY LINE. If it exceeds the Ambient by 5 dB, then there is a violation. By the time this higher noise level travels upon a neighbor’s property by just a few feet, the level would be lower than the ambient level. It generally takes a level of 5 dB louder to be perceived as a sound that is 2 times the reference level (ambient). If you live in an apartment, you will lose 3-6 dB just getting through the walls.

For those people who are into knowing more about my recommended Ordinance change and/or the Microsoft spreadsheet I made to calculate these levels, please feel free to email me, no charge. Just allow a few days as I do most of my emails on the weekend. The spreadsheet is easy to use and will allow you to input the level you measured and the distance to your property line plus the distance from the property line to the noise source. You can vary the ambient levels, the tolerance levels and distances. The answers will tell you the sound level at the BAND, and the distance you have to move away from the BAND to be back at the Ambient Levels. It will also calculate how close a Police car has to be (with the windows up/down, blower on/off, radio on/off) to also hear the noise level as ‘they drive by’. Another answer it comes up with is the likelihood of a complaint based on studies that concluded that noise from 0-5 dB over ambient are unlikely to result in a complaint. Those from 5-10 dB are likely to cause a complaint. Those over 10 dB will most likely cause a complaint.

Some communities have a distance ‘from the property line’ that the levels are taken. There is also a provision in the spreadsheet for entering that information.

In conclusion, the City Council is very naive about sound levels and what is fair. Most are not sound engineers. The police are even more naive so it is hard to convince anyone inside city government about why people get so upset (and rightly so) about loud noise levels. This is a good place to start. Be persistent, take notes, make recordings, and complain to the police and the city council. DO NOT GIVE UP. I have been working on this problem for 2 years with this neighbor. Being the ignorant, self-centered lying person that he and his family are, it is hard to prove your point when they lie so fluently. Trouble is, lies are hard to remember to tell the same one that was told earlier. Keep good notes and records.

Update 9-28-07. The BAND has only cooled it a little. Still practice loud more days than they told the Chief of Police. It seems like it would be far simpler to just cite and fine these scofflaws until they learn they cannot afford to act like they own and control the world. The lack of effective corrective action by the police is costing taxpayers money, neighbor's sleep and peace of mind, neighbor's money to stop these scofflaws and a lot of time on every law-abiding person's part. All it has cost these NsFH is a few minutes of their time to listen to the policeman tell them to turn it down. What is the fairness in that? Being able to hear their BAND and/or Auto half a mile or more away is absurd. I have measured their levels with equipment.

Generally my impression of the city council is that the members are ignorant in technical matters. They talk a good talk but have little actions. Much like the three monkeys, Hear No Evil, See No Evil, and Speak No Evil.

Saw the Dr. Phil show the other night and those NsFH were out of control. All of them. Both sides.

It is time that there was enacted a National Right to Peace and Noise Control Act.

Both of the parents drive nice new vehicles, and the house is appraised close to 200k, and the kids have new dirtbikes, and if you get in good with them, they may offer to sell you some of their food stamps because they are short on cash.

I scared the Rottweiler and Mike hasn't crossed the street since. I consider that a victory alone, hey I can now use my porch in peace, the dog got a milk bone an apology and a tummy rub life was good again.

Then animal control showed up at my door. To ensure my dogs had shots. Proof given they went away. We trimmed trees back for hurricane season, cut and bundled them and left them at the road side for pick up (three HUGE oak trees worth of trimmings) code enforcement shows up, only we did it right no problem. A car mysteriously won't start, hmm suspiciously disconnected battery. You get the idea.

Meanwhile remember how Mike was living on the porch? Apparently Robin won't let him in the house. However they are still a "couple" with all that entails. Remember all those cats I mentioned? She really likes cats... too much. Apparently when she gets in the mood, she joins him on the screened in porch. I walked outside one night to smoke ( I do not smoke in the house) and what do I hear? Howeling. Only its a noise 100% worse than any cat in heat has ever made. Coming from that same porch, in between screeches one could hear the springs on his cot squeaking. I went back inside. I will NEVER need a cigarette badly enough to listen to that.

Now, I feel better just venting that all out. Only one question left.

Two weeks later we move in. These neighbors decided we were their new best friends. I have a lovely front porch, I was scared to use it due to every time I sat on it, they showed up.

I also have two dogs. The rottweiler I mentioned previously and a mutt mix. Both dogs are well trained and trained to only accept food from their bowl INSIDE the house. I all too well understand that large breeds scare people and do not want my dogs poisoned. Within days of us moving in, Ms Neighbor was trying to feed my dogs over the fence line. Her reasoning was "well if I ever need to get into your back yard it's easier if they know me". I quickly informed her there was no reason EVER for her to be in my back yard, thus no need to 'know' my dogs.

Now, I am a big believer in dogs being a good judge of character. Add to this my two dogs are so beta that they are nearly charley and you will begin to see my concern with these neighbors. My dogs that will barely scratch at a flea when it bites them (for fear of hurting it) go positively agressive when they see this woman or her "other half". Barking, growling, near frothing at the mouth. Not a good sign.

After being in my house for a month, and getting the house to look the way I wanted and the yard all nice and tidied up, I started looking around outside (yeah I know, should have done that before I made an offer on the place.)

The neighbor lady, lets call her Robin and her man friend Mike, their yard was filled with Junk. Literal junk. 12 bird baths, 2 grills, 2 sets of lawn chairs/tables, three non running vehicles, boxes and bags full of I don't even want to know what was in them, an rv that listed port side at a 45 degree angle etc etc. And this, was the front yard. As in on the grass, all of it.

Now, I would like to think I am not blind, that the corrective lenses work, but since I missed THAT when looking at the house, I went to the eye doc and got a new script.

Almost daily one or the other, at times both, would wait for me to get home from work and pounce. Running across the street as I got home from work and out of my car under the car port. This was getting old.
When a forth non-running vehicle and a trailer full of lawnmowers and other crap was dropped in the front yard I had a discussion with them, polite, but bottom line was I was tired of looking at it clean it up and mow the 3' tall weeds down.

They moved one lawn mower. Into the house.

By now I was ready to beat my head on the nearest hard service. But instead had another neighbor come over to tell me to honestly just save my breath not even code enforcement could make them listen. This I found hard to believe so I called code enforcement. Spoke with Dave Pascal down there who did tell me that Robin and Mike have been getting fined $150 a day since August of 2005 (and still are getting fined daily) due to their property being out of code. When I inquired on WHY if the fines were exceeding $100k and the house - even on a DARN good market day might be worth $45k had they not evicted I got introduced to the lovely laws governing Homesteading in Florida. Ugh.

Ok so code enforcement comes out again, Robin literally stands IN her front yard (which has no trespassing signs posted) and taunts the code enforcement officer. Refusing to come to the street to get the citation, and do to the signs he couldnt go on the property. They caught her two days later at the hess station and handed her the citations there. Chalk another $500 bucks up that will never get paid.

Anyway, according to code enforcement all the neighbors (to include the real estate agent that sold me the house!) called enforcement regularly. Nothing new. Nothing will change until she legally steps out of bounds ( I would have thought that much in unpaid citations would be grounds but hey what do I know?)

Robin rounded up another 12 stray cats, the county got them one by one as other neighbors trapped them and turned them over. When someone hit her cat on the street and she called the cops-- they called animal control for the cats being outside (zero tolerence in Lee County apparently) and none having licenses, shots etc... oh the two dogs were the same way. Somehow I do not think those fines are paid to this day.

Mike around this time got laid off from his job and started mowing lawns. He has a sedan and would literally tie lawn mowers to the ROOF and trunk of his car and drive off down the street to go mow lawns. (Are you hearing the tunes to green acres yet?) His car and hers constantly are driven that way. The insides are filled with CRAP to the roof. The entire back seat (and cargo area of her jeep) as well as front passenger seats!!) I have seen them drive in with crap strapped to the hood of their car from windshield to nose of car all down the passenger side of the vehicle, how they are not getting pulled over is BEYOND my comprehension.

Life went on with Sanford and son across the street. Friends of mine who live about a mile from me telling me stories of Mike driving down their street seeing them outside and asking if they had any "junk" (You just can't make this stuff up). Meanwhile the entire two car garage is full as is the screened in side porch front and back yards, and he is still looking for more crap!! I have literally seen Robin attempt to enter her house and shove ALL her weight against the door, bracing against the door jam, to open the door just far enough to squeeeeeeeze into the house. This so cannot be healthy.

Then came winter. And for the first time in my life, I had mice and it was due to all the crap in their yard according to the exterminators. To say I was not happy would be the understatement of the decade.Especially when one considers I have two cats...spoiled pampered cats.. one of which I had to rescue when he got a wild hair to catch a mouse in the house and got his claw stuck in a door hinge!

Ok, so I offer to help clean up the yard, be proactive and perhaps teach them to take care of their property. They honestly looked at me, at their yard and asked "What's wrong with it?" I give up and drive a for sale sign in my front yard. It's still there I think prospective shoppers are noticing what I didn't namely her yard!!

A few weeks later the county must have scared her. The RV was suddenly gone, as were the four non moving vehicles. And 80% of the crap in the front yard was removed and relocated to the back yard. Mike, the man friend lived in the rv. Two weeks later the RV was gone someone towed it off, and they started cleaning out the side screened in porch.

I am not joking when I say the bags of crap lined the street the entire length of her property, three bags high and four bags deep. Mike moved into the screened in porch. Which still has piles of crap in it!!

Moving on, apparently they came to the conclusion I called code enforcement that last time and they were made to clean up. (Actually I didn't. I have only ever called that one time. After that I figured it was a waste of a few minutes of life and air-- why bother.) Mike in his hill billy wisdom decides to get even. So he heads over to "good neighbors" house and tells him I sit on my front porch snorting coke with my teenagers.

Unfortunately for mike he should have turned around as my daughter was over at good neighbors house, visiting his teenage daughter. Daughter cranks up and comes home and tells me.

Ok, if your going to spread rumors about me, all I ask is keep it honest. Had mike wandered around telling all that would listen that I was a b*tch, I would have laughed, agreed and ignored him. You tell a lie of that size and that could have realistically gotten my children taken away from me, and my north carolina redneck side comes out (seven years yeah I was born in another country but stick someone in tobacco and cotton fields long enough and they get a red neck side).

A little over a year ago I found the house of my dreams. I dearly love older houses and found the one perfect for me. In my "love struck" state, I didn't notice three neighbors. Seriously my bad.

House number one: Rental
Grass over grown, property manager paid house #3 to paint it (all of $250 bucks changed hands so you can just imagine what the paint job looks like, for more of an indicator wait and read house three.) When I initially moved in there were three hispanic males that lived in the house. For the most part quiet, they apparently worked construction and their rides would show up at 5-6 am blowing horns to get them to come outside.

One 5am conversation with one of theirs red neck employers, (and yes, I dressed this way intentionally to make a point!) my hair in curlers, green face mask on, ratty robe, fuzzy slippers and a serious caffeine deficiency going on quickly had the horn blowing coming to an end. They decided flashing their bright lights into the renters house was far less scarey than dealing with the crazy neighbor lady.

All was well with these neighbors until the housing market crashed. Then they invited 12 of their closest friends to live with them and split the bills. 15 people (no exaggeration) and a 3 bedroom house. They got really loud. Though when I walked the Rottweiler down the street they would quiet down. (That dog got alot of excercise for several weeks.) Finally the 12 closest friends started drag racing down my residential street. Nearly nailing a 7 year old on a bike. When one of the "good" neighbors complained and hollered at them all 15 came pouring out of the house to "deal" with him.

Apparently they didn't notice the neighbor had a few friends over in his pool room. They quickly backed down and went home after belatedly realising this. Good neighbor called the cops, cops came out made some "there is no proof" comments and called the property manager who came out and gave good neighbor a hard time for picking on his renters. (Good neighbor owns his home.)

The next day I looked up the owner of the house on the Lee County Tax web site. I called information got her phone number and gave the owner a jingle. Owner was appalled that she had so many in her house, and that they were causing a ruckus in the neighborhood. (Helped that she had teenagers on her street doing that and it drives her nuts!!). Owner calls property manager (who turned out to be her son!) and the 12 best friends were moved out that night. Mamma was not a happy camper apparently.

All quieted down for another 6 months then the friends were back. You could watch them pull tags off one vehicle put it on another and the endless noise was horrific. I called mamma, mamma called son, son yelled at them kicked them out, a few days later they were back again. "Good neighbor" called code enforcement over the tagless vehicles, lawn in disrepair, late night parties, too many people living in one house etc... and they came out. 12 violations in one afternoon.
By that night "mamma" had them moved out. The house is now up for rent and I am laying odds that mamma has far stricter requirements for her renters now.

House #2: Inherited from Granny
This is one of two right across the street from me. Yard isn't in bad shape but the half installed "pond" has been decorating the front yard for over a year now. The inheritor has two other males that live in the house with him.
This neighbor is a "good old boy" who enjoys his whiskey. 2 am any Saturday or Sunday morning you can find this neighbor in his front yard having an arguement with his palm trees at the top of his lungs. And judging from hearing HIS side of the conversation, they are answering him!! Annoying to put it nicely, but on the rare occation I am still awake, hey it is free entertainment!
What is the worst about these neighbors isn't the drinking and arguements with folliage. It's the way they dress. Three men ages 40+ (two of them seriously in the pluses) who all consume large amounts of alcohol. Their "Six packs" have turned into kegs. Kegs they proudly show off as they walk shirtless around the yard daily. (ew) however, what is even worse than that, is according to their pants they all were at one point ... plumbers. Those three show off more "cleavage" than Brittney, Lindsey and Christina!! Sadly it is the posterior cleavage showing. (ewwwwwwwww)

House #3: Owned by Sanford and Son

It figures these characters would wait until after I had closed to show themselves. I personally think the lady I purchased my house from paid them to stay away from potential buyers to ensure they wouldn't scare them off!

The weekend after I signed papers I came to the house with friends and family celebrating the purchase when...she crossed the street. Age: 50+, Figure: potato sack Hair: unwashed times six months. Clothes: Obviously worn for far more than two days in the heat and humidity of June.

Helped herself to two glasses of wine... then barged into my new home (without asking and the door was shut) and started telling me what colors to paint the rooms and telling me to rip out the hard wood floors, that she "saw some of that long carpet (shag) at a discount store that would look great in the house. My teenage daughter, who has my temper and has learned no tact at all, asked her point blank "what are you stupid?". Luckily she left quickly after that. Sadly she did not stay gone.

The next day the friends, kids and I returned to whip the house into shape to move into. Walls are getting painted, ratty molding torn down and replaced, and those same wood floors that hadn't been treated in years, were washed, stripped, oiled and treated until they shined like new. we were at the house for less than 10 minutes before she showed up and let herself in - again.

My daughter who was downstairs by herself was not happy (the rest of us were upstairs securing a banister, and gutting a bathroom). This time, since she had been lectured the prior evening on tact (my mistake there again!) she attempted to be polite. Lasted five minutes before the scream of "Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom" was heard. I go downstairs and there is the neighbor lady, still in the same clothes, still not bathed, standing in my living room. Being bilingual I asked my daughter in a language I was sure the woman wouldn't know "Why did you let her in". My daughter simply replied "I didn't" and walked away muttering under her breath in this other language about 'tact, politeness and dumb parents that make her suffer through crazy neighbors'.

Within two minutes my mental note made to adjust her attitude was erased and I was cursing in that same language under my breath as this woman opened her mouth and started talking. As in smack, about all the people who lived on the street. One was a wife beater, she saw it herself (only he divorced up in Ocala and moved here several years later and has custody of his kids... false) Another killed her cats (truth was: they trapped them all 20 of them, and had animal control come get them). Another was a woman of ill repute (ok attorneys don't have the greatest reputation but please!!)

In another minute she was asking me if I was going to put in a pool. When told no she honestly told me "Thats a shame we were hoping the new owners would because we wanted to use it." Literally had my jaw hitting the ground. I escorted her back outside and started into the subject topic of "Thou shall knock on my door and not let yourself into my home" when the other half of her prior stated 'we' came across the street.

Age: 50+
Hair: Long, unkempt and containing more oil than both of my cars combined.
Clothing: Even worse than her.
Then he smiled at me and showed me all four of his black teeth.

They have a dog that they let out in the moring to crap in our front yard. They also walk the dog in the neighborhood and when the dog craps, if no one is around to see it, they don't pick it up. I've watched from inside my house and have seen them do this. My son has been out in the neighborhood and watched them do this.

They don't bring in their trash cans or recylce bins so the front of their house looks like a ghetto.

Their kid throws rocks at our windows and drops things over the back fence into our yard.

They pile up trash on the side of their house and leave it for weeks on end. We have to look at the side of their house whenever we go to our driveway.

Their gutters and downspouts don't work, so the rain pours off the side of their house and into the space where we get into our vehicles.

One of the neighbors owns about 6 cars and trucks. She parks them in various locations on the street. For the past 3 weeks she has had a truck parked in front of our house and of course the bed of the truck is filled with junk.

When we tried to talk to them about some of this, they got mad and things got worse. One of them even tried to tell us how we should park our cars in the driveway to avoid her trash pileup! Now, we don't speak to them at all.

For one, she is constantly over at our house. She waits until we get home from work and then comes over. When we are taking a nap on the weekend she just barges right in. If we lock the door, she stands there and knocks forever. She has came over and let our dog out of the gate before because "she wants to play with cocoa". I had to put a padlock on the gate which is dangerous for the dog because of an emergency. My dog cannot stand this child and he really wants to bite her when she comes over. So most of the time in the evenings, I have to keep an eye out on cocoa because you never know when little janie will come busting through the front door. It's also aggrivating when I'm outside with my own children hanging out and she shows up and refuses to go home.

I've called her parents, wrote them notes, told the child that she had to be invited and nothing works! I don't know what else to do! I can't be mean to the little girl because it's not her fault that she is so darn annoying. Her parents are idiots for letting her run loose and to be quite honest, she has one of those mommies that is to darn lazy to get up off the couch to come get her.

Hopefully things will come to an end in finding a resolution. It should not be this hard. But it is the NFH's weapon of choice to use tactics such as confusion, lying, manipulation, stalling, and many others to annoying and hurt decent law abiding people.

For instance, I picked up the transcript from the courthouse today. The next action is to get this psycho out of the building. Well, as I read the transcript, there were some things that I missed. Such as the lie the NFH told the judge in which he hadn't spoken to me or had done anything since February 2007. My jaw dropped. June 20th/07 the police were called twice: (1) for taking pictures of me without my consent and (2) for opening up my back screen door! The trial date was June 21st/07! So despite the police deciding to pursue criminal charges that night - he told the judge that he hadn't made contact with me since February '07. That's PERJURY!!!

But it's all good! He just hung himself again! I'll be looking into this. He needs to be charged!!! Before I would have said, let this one pass - but this prick is too heinous for words!

Wow! I guess I needed to vent that...

I have drafted 2 changes for the Ordnances concerning Noise and Animals for my location. After attending the City Council meetings for the past 4 meetings, I drafted the two changes to both clear up the meaning and make it fairer to the residents. Gave a copy of the two recommended wordings to the Deputy Chief, the Mayor and the 2 Aldermen for my area last week, with an explanation of why the changes are needed.
The two Aldermen asked for my address and phone number, which I gave. No one has called or came by to see me about these changes.

Last night, after the meeting, the Chief stopped by my vehicle and asked if we could set up a date to meet and discuss the issues I have concerning my neighbor. That is a positive sign. Just from observing how the City Council meeting is run, and it appears to be polite and professional. That is the plus side. On the minus side, it appears that they are willing to listen to citizens complaints and suggestions but are very reserved in backing up any suggestions with any form of action. Even a mere “thank you and I’ll discuss it with the other Aldermen and get back with you” would be a plus, but I have yet to receive any form of hope from the status quo. Many of the Ordnances have a wording in the penalty section stating SHALL be fined. The word SHALL is key here as there are not ifs, ands or buts. But in the end, it is up to the discretion of the officer to make the decision to charge (or cite) someone. That appears to be the weak link. The enforcement.

If feel sorry that an animal was killed in the Washington PA incident but thankful a human wasn’t harmed. It could have turned out even worst. Alcohol played a key role here. Perhaps if the police had curtailed the noise from the animal in the first place, there would not have even been a story. There is a time to give warnings for perhaps the 1st or 2nd complaint. After that, it is time to issue citations and fines, each and every time. The police should get over being scared of the paperwork involved, that is their paid job to do.

The police have sworn to take an oath that reads something like; (A) Preserve the peace and order of the city, (B) Protect persons and property from harm, (C) Prevent crime and detect and apprehend persons suspected of crimes or misdemeanors, (D) Regulate traffic upon public thoroughfares, (E) Enforce all criminal laws and ordinances, (F) Secure all necessary complaints, warrants, and other documents for the enforcement of these duties.

Perhaps it is the ‘Good old Boy’ network at play here. Perhaps it is a poor leader. The saying goes that “If your are a good leader and no one is following you, then your just out for a walk.”

It is time to get involved with the community leaders to voice your concerns, then voice them again until they hear you.

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Police arrested a man for allegedly shooting a neighbor’s dog in Long Branch, Washington County, on Thursday night.

According to police, Louis Mough entered the Billy family’s property and began arguing with Rebecca Billy about their 10-year-old black Lab.

Billy told police that Mough threatened to kill the dog if it didn’t stop barking.

Mough then allegedly untied the dog, Blackjack, and flipped his dog house into a nearby creek that runs along the edge of the property.

Bill said the dog ran and she went inside the home to call 911 when she said she heard gunshots.

Police arrived at Mough’s home along Mt. Tabor Road shortly after 8 p.m.

The officer, who said the 44-year-old man appeared to be intoxicated and that he could smell alcohol on his breath, asked Mough where the dog was.

The man told police that he untied the dog, brought it to his house and shot it.

The officer then spotted the dog lying on the grass.

Mough was placed under arrest when police said he became loud and insisted he was right in killing the dog.

Billy was notified and retrieved the dog’s remains.

Police found a .22-caliber rifle, a BB rifle, an M1 carbine and several rounds of ammunition inside the home.

Mough was arraigned overnight and taken to the Washington County Prison on $5,000 straight bond.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 17.

I was tired of listening to this noise from 60+ feet away, so I installed a broken X-10 wireless camera on the window sill to see this area. I figured, if the NFH saw this in my window, they would hold the noise down. A number of times, I have heard this noise and I step outside my side door on the opposite side, my driveway light would go on and the noise would magically stop.

Within a week, the police arrived at my house to talk to me but I was gone. A friendly neighbor informed me that the police were there taking pictures of my camera in my window. I called the PD and talked to the officer. He informed me that the complaint was that I had installed a camera and there was a red light on it and that it was watching their son in his bedroom. (Their intension was to make me out to be a pervert.) I informed the officer that the unit was a broken unit. The wires from the camera to the base were cut. There was no way to power the unit and the antenna on the unit was missing. That perhaps the 'red' light they saw was either the lens coating on the color camera or wishful thinking on their part. I also informed the officer that the camera was aimed to see the top of my fence (they had cut the wire on it earlier and it could also see thru my wire fence to the area at the back of their house where they sit and talk/play music until 2 AM. Also told the officer that I would bring the unit in for them to look at (and I did) if they wished. I had no idea who sleeps in what room, nor do I care. I also removed the unit at that time.

You are permitted to use cameras on your property as long as the focused area of concerns covers YOUR property. If it just so happens to include the offending NFH property (because of field of view) so be it.

Posted here before about my NFH. Laid a private charge against him because he refused to leave us alone. June 21st/07 his lawyer brokered a deal with the Crown for his client to enter the Peace Bond, because if he hadn't the Police were going to pursue Criminal Harassment charges. The NFH was caught opening my back door the day before the trial (on surveillance camera) and was taking pictures of me without my consent opening my unit door. I thought it was over when he entered into the Peace Bond.

Just wanted to elaborate on the toilet clogging incident. I re-read my posts and realized I never got into that little gem too much. (BTW, sorry about the typos, I've been working 12 hour shifts all week and I'm pooped...teehee.."pooped")

So here's the scoop. It seems that one of the little darlings went over to Druggie Daddy's house and used the bathroom. Well, it looks like the kid ate all his Bran Flakes because the toilet clogged and #1 and #2 washed under the door and was all over Druggie's kitchen floor!!...Can I get a 'Halleluiah'?!

Saying Druggie was mad would be an understatement. Kinda like saying the Titanic had taken on a bit of water. Daddy went ape-poopie!!

He was screaming at the kids like a man posessed..and at the top of his lungs...or as close to the top of them as he could get after smoking refer all his life. This went on for a while I'm told. (I was at work and this little meltdown was relayed to me by the BF.

He screamed so long and so loud and so filthily, that Scuzz's mom, Druggies mother in law, came out to see what all the noise was about....cuz this was more than just the normal cacaphony we have on Dognanl St. (Yes, I changed the name of our street...the street is innocent..a very nice street that nevah huhht no one NEVAH!! ...Sorry...my Massachusetts accent somehow slipped into my typing there for a minute...that was weird.)

Well, ScuzzMom and Druggie went at it. She yelled that he shouldn't be swearing at the kids (funny..she never seemed to have a problem with it before...) and he yelled back that there was shirt and puss all over the bathroom and kitchen floors. It kept escalating in this screaming match and culminated in her telling him to go do his drugs and he yelled he would do his drugs whenever he felt like it and she fired the winning salvo with "Why don't you go pay your bills!" Touche'!!...although...that would require him to get a job and be a productive member of society....and I just don't see that happening anytime soon. He's borrowed $60 from his upstairs neighbor and some cash from my BF and never paid it back...yet he has $$ for weed....strange, that...

Anyways, it seems like even Druggie Daddy has limits to his tolerance of these filthy, wicked, evil bastard children. What's the matter DD ? They're all related to you in one way or another. It's FAMILY PEE AND POOP you're cleaning out of your bathroom and kitchen ! What's the big deal !? Haul out the wet\dry vacuum and suck it up...what's that ? You say you have no wet\dry vac ? Huhh..I do. Yeah,I bought it with this stuff called money that my employer pays me for doing something called 'work'...you might have heard of it ?....no ?...oh well...looks like you're in DEEP SH*T!!! (tee hee)

Well, that's the general overview of my neighborhood. Children running amuck at all hours of the day and night...unsupervised by their parents. Dirty Baby is unsupervised all the time! The other day, the little guy saw my truck coming down the street towards him and began toddling towards me. He was in the middle of the street and got 4 good steps in before someone caught him. (Of course I stopped as soon as I could.) The BF says Dirty Baby is often wandering around by himself. We do live on a deadend street but still. The cross street at the end of ours has a steep hill with a blind curve at the crest of the hill. You gotta be careful....I don't want to end up hearing about Dirty Baby pate' (seriously...I'm thinking about dropping an anonymous dime to DSS ..child protetive services).

Oh yes...one more thing that may blow your mind...it does mine. The parents SCREAM for the kids to come in and SCREAM to know where they are at...(setting fires...chucking cats....playing in\destroying a really gross old POS car that's been there for 2 years)but they want the kids to stay close...which means right in front of my house......(AARRRGGHHH!!!) but they have a park LITTERALLY across the street....OUR street...no crossing of major throughfares required!!! This park is HUGE!!! I swear it's as long as a football field, well maintained, baseball diamond, skate park, basketball court, monkey bars, wide open fields, rocks to climb on and woods right next to their HOUSE to explore....yet the parents want them to stay in front of the houses...!!!???!!!WHY!!!???!!! YOU IGNORE THEM.....THEY ACT LIKE FREAKING LUNATICS AND YOU DO NOTHING UNTIL THEY IRRITATE YOU OR BREAK|STEAL SOMETHING OF YOURS!!!!!!!!!

After asking them to turn it down and being laughed at, we talked to other neighbors who basically had grown to accept this nonsense. They all knew that before 11pm the cops would do nothing, despite the fact that many of us got up at 5am or so to work. That was the law. During the day, their son played just as loud with his teen band, and they were really awful sounding, worse than the adult band. They played satanic death metal, and it was like fingernails on a chalkboard. They dressed in shirts with pentagrams, and wore pentagram necklaces. They often did ritual chanting over the P.A. system in between songs, and it sounded utterly evil. Like something from a horror movie. They insisted on playing with the garage door open too. With my wife trying to take care of a newborn at home, it was hell.

Then the glaring looks, the staring, and psuedo-stalking started. Whenever one of us came out, they came out and stood there and stared. We learned the kid sold dope, and people were up all night, with people coming and going constantly, squealing tires, yelling, etc. Everyone over there made a habit of flicking their buts in our yard as well as their trash.

When they talked on the phone or otherwise, every conversation was so loud that we heard every word across the street, even with them indoors. They then began sitting in front of their garage all evening smoking pot, cigarettes, and the occasional crack pipe. The father has most teeth rotted out (from smoking glass pipes no doubt). The cops were called but it never helped.

As their cars started to die off, they simply parked them in the front yard, some with no side windows, cobwebs gathering.

They then allowed a few freaky people to move in with them, scary people, people obviously on drugs, complete with prison tatoos.

Then their daughter got out of prison and moved in. We learned from their next door neighbor that she was in for prostitution, assault and drug charges (crack), and her children had been taken away from her, and from what we are told she went nuts and was put on anti-psychotic drugs. As it turns out the drugs don't work too well, because she is more psychotic than the rest of the family, though her mother is on several psychiatric drugs too as it turns out.

Soon after, the daughters pimp boyfriend (complete with cliche purple cadillac - seriously), started coming around to smoke dope with the family and hang out. The glaring / stalking was getting very obvious, and all sorts of trash and beer bottles were thrown into our yard nightly. Some of them sat along side our home at night and smoked drugs.

Finally one day the psycho daughter had enough and came marching over (this is one scary female) to confront my wife while I watched from nearby. Things got ugly as she rambled on and my wife told her to leave or the cops would be showing up. She spewed some filth and a few mumbled threats while leaving and that was that.

From then on the noise, trash, and glaring/stalking nonsense got pretty intense. They started sitting in front of their garage and talking very loudly about how much they hated us every night. They loudly said over and over that we needed to move, that we weren't welcome in this neighborhood. It got worse and worse.

Then the dogfights started. Although I never saw them, all the sounds and sights pointed to dog fighting, and the sounds coming from these gatherings were chilling. Strangely one of their dogs "died" eventually, from a "disease" of course.

For some bizarre reason my wife thought she could meet with the mother and daughter and work things out. They invited her into the back yard where the whole group was smoking dope, and acting like fools. Some of them sweating profusely, totally whacked out on dope. They tried to pressure her into using dope, and when she refused they accused her of being a cop, or a snitch working for the cops. They said bad things happen to snitches. As she sat there trying to bury the hatchet the father went on and on about how he hated our family, never liked us, and wanted us gone. He said something bad was going to happen. The mom and daughter just sat there allowing this intimidation. They said they hated people like us who "liked to show off their nice cars, and wax them in front of the neighbors to show off". Huh? What? We don't wax our car to offend other people, we do it to take care of it. Nothing personal, but they took it that way. It turns out the whole thing was just a trap to get her back there and intimidate her.

My wife left. So much for the peace mission.

A few weeks later while my wife was in the garage they tried talking to her and my wife just shut the garage door to avoid them. The daughter immediately began calling and texting saying "it is on now" and "watch out b$$ch!" and "youre gonna get it". The calls went on four hours until the police came and that calmed it down for the moment.

The next day their new tactic was revealed. During the day (the mom and daughter and son are bums and don't work) they took turns walking around in the front yard, pretending to talk on the phone VERY LOUDLY, while talking all kinds of nasty trash about our family, and how they were going to get rid of us. All of this was of course just a show of intimidation.

Then, I finally resorted to revenge. I went to lowes and bought the most powerful halogen security light they sold, and a no trespassing sign. I put the sign up in plain view so they knew that if they walked into the yard they could be arrested for trespassing. The light came with a 100 foot motion sensor, and every time they walked out to smoke their stuff, the lights which are aimed right at their garage and house lit things up like daytime. They were very angry, cursing, and stomping around very upset. Eventually the crazed daughter and mother came out screaming and going off, and I confronted them from across the street.

We exchanged some choice words, and I explained that we had tried, but had just had enough. I called them out on being a bunch of mentally unstable nutjobs on hardcore drugs, and that we were tired of this nightmare. The daughter was near meltdown as she was dragged by the mother screaming and threatening to have someone "take care of our a$$".

Me and the wife then went to bed with a very uneasy feeling. I now sleep with my pistol, lying on the nightstand, and we are both keeping a large can of pepper spray handy now. My wife is thinking of getting an injunction against the daughter, but they would be able to meet us in court and fight it and that would be an awful experience. That injunction won't stop a thug that her, her pimp, or the drug dealing brother knows anyway. And the other family members would still be free to terrorize.

First let me share what I learned here.

Do not attempt to "patch things up" with a neighbor who is mentally unstable. It is not only a bad idea, it just makes things worse. My wife did this on her own, and I know it is where things really took the serious turn for the worse. Big mistake.

I thought I would continue my story, hope it at least makes you chuckle a little!

{To recap from where I left off} "Mmmm...Lithium....you know what goes good with Lithium ? BROWNIES!!!!....Brownies that you feed to your 5 year old nephew!!!! (Yes, this happened last week...poor little "What are your doing? , Where are you going?, Can I go ?, Can I come in your house ?" ended up in the hospital with seizures. Supposedly the seizures were from him hitting his head...but Dear old Druggie Daddy" seems to have a VERY nasty temper, yelling and screaming profanities at the little guy to "toughen up" when the other kids hurt him...but we need to get back to SCUZZZ.

Soooo...Scuzz is 15 and smokes, probably gets them from Mom..cuz you know that the family that smokes together...Scuzz seems to have self-esteem problems and I hate to be mean (not really!) but he's been overheard to be yelling at himself. "Stop it Anyr! You retard!" he says while playing with himself...I should say BY himself...don't want to give you the folks the wrong impression there. What else...within a few months of us moving in, he had peed on the side of my house for no reason. We overheard that he had...uhhh.."pleasured" himself with a fluid filled water tube toy to...uhhhh..."completion" and the other kids knew about it and were chasing each other around with it.....EWWWWWW!!
He constantly talks to himself...well...I do too, but I don't make my neighbors feel creeped out by that...the OTHER stuff I do creeps them out! (just kidding)
My mother gets us for work at 4 a.m. and many times she has heard him out in the alley "grunting like a caveman". (So THAT explains the uni-brow !!)
People do not like Scuzz...the little kids who are his only friends...who are his RELATIVES are the only ones who play with him. Hmm..."Play with him" is too strong of a phrase...."tolerate him" hits closer to the mark.

Little "What are your doing? , Where are you going?, Can I go ?, Can I come in your house " , who is Scuzz's nephew (the one that Scuzz poisoned with Lithium) and is 5 years old said to him once...(while Scuzz was pestering him) "I hate that I am related to you." WTG little "WWCC" ! This kid has no friends of his own age...I guess he's doomed to play with himself forever! (That time I meant it!) So...New Year's Eve rolls around and he does what everyone else does...throws open the door, screams "Happy F'cking New Year" and proceeds to go pee between the cars. Klassy with a 'K' huhh ? I could go on and on but we all have lives. I'm not sure if he's dangerous or not at this point but I'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt because I think it's only a matter of time.

Little Retarded Girl is just that. Well, she's not really retarded but there is something VERY MUCH wrong with her mental faculties. She's not related to the White Trash Waltons next to me , but she fits in real nicely ! Walks around outside barefoot in 40 degree rainy weather, wears her PJs outside like it's some sort of extended living room...She's the apple of her demented Daddy's eye...yeah...he's something else too. Sounds like he gargled with razor blades (if only) or something. But, they are tolerable...if they'd just shut their dogs up....eww...those dogs have mange or lice or Little Retarded Girl boogers on their fur or something.....BLECH!!!

So onto WWCC's Druggie Daddy. Doesn't work, gets "MEDICINAL" maree-ja-wanna delivered to the house in a POS-mobile...ummm...there is no such thing as medical MaryJane in Mass...nice try. If there were, you would have to get it at Walgreens or CVS. Not from the neighborhood crack dealer. He's 4 months behind on his rent..can you say EVICATION boys and girls ? I knew you could. He\they got a free refrigerator from some public assistance dealie (I had to BUY mine with the house...go figure) and , get this, asked the guy upstairs if he wanted to buy the fridge, but let Druggie Daddy and wifey use it until they move out.
Sure ! Why not...and I'll buy your car and let you drive it into the ground until you leave..what's that ? You want me to put you on my checking account as an authorized signer and you'll settle up with me when you go ? Sounds fair to me !! Some people, huh ? Oh yeah, Druggie Daddy's wifey is Scuzz's sister, almost forgot to tell you!

OK....on to (bum, bum, bummmmm) THE DIRTY BABY!!!! (maniacal laughter) Uh..he's a cute baby and seriously, I feel bad, the poor guy has something wrong. You know how some people who have Down's Syndrome have that certain 'look' to their faces..well, he's got it. And he's ALWAYS DIRTY !! Hurray!!! And guess what ? He's got his OWN DIRTY BABY CARRIAGE!!! that stays out in the sun, the rain, the snow, the bird poop attacks. It NEVER goes inside or is cleaned ! Any other accessories, you may ask ? Sure, how about the dirty baby play pen...guaranteed hours of filthy fun. And when you're tired, how 'bout a fun game of "Let's carry the baby around by his arm" No...not pull along, but carry ..as in suspended in the air by Daddy or Uncle Scuzz.

Wow, great house, enough parking spaces, fit our needs..great, sold!
BTW, just to be clear, it's a two family house (my mother downstairs and me, my BF and my best buddy upstairs. Yeah, I'm gay and so is my BF (duh) and my buddy) with a decent amount of room and a big back yard and 5 car garage. We can't get any cars back there....I don't know why they put the houses SO close together...but anyways.

The seller and her real estate agent said that the neighbors were nice..blah, blah, blah...and if you believe that I've got a bridge for sale in Brooklyn...

In a nutshell, it's this nearly ALL the time. Kids outside my house and in the alley between the houses SCREAMING, SCREAMING, SCREAMING, banging trash cans, dropping their bikes, hitting each other, SWEARING like truck drivers...BTW the children range from 5 and up and let me tell you, the 5 year olds know and use LIBERALLY the F-word, the N-word, Sh*t, suck my c*ck, etc. They throw cats at each other, they have scratched the living hell out of our cars, they damaged my mother's window A\C unit, they stole my parking space marker numbers off the fence where we park. I could go on and on. They light fires...I nearly lost my garage thanks to them. They light off fireworks at ALL times of the day and night. Anyways... Oh yeah, yesterday one of them took a huge dump in one of their other inbred hillbilly cousin-daddy-uncle-brother's toilets, clogged it up and walked away, allowing feces and urine to spill out into the kitchen..but hey, it's family...right. Well, that went over like a lead poop filled baloon.

Dunks used to own it with her sister Mennecca, but Mennecca (who was a hoochie crack whore on her own) and Dunks had a big blow out and Mennecca sold her share for ...crack to Anus and Dunks. Anus and Dunks have a couple of kids..the SCREAMER\CRIER and "Fat little skank whore". BTW, "Fat little skank whore" wears belly shirts that show off her rolls of fat just like Auntie Mennecca wears! The rotten maggot infested apple doesn't fall far from it's au-whore-nt!

Screamer\crier loves to yell as loud as he can under my windows and in front of my house to kids and parents who are usually less that 15 feet away. He also likes to abuse his cousins and friends..sometimes by throwing cats at them.

Fat little skank whore is a decent type, whose pass times include keying people's cars for no reason, flipping people off who request her mother to move her car out of the street so people can pass and park and giving "I wish you were dead" stares to people who even remotely annoy her by demanding access to their parking spots. She's a minor player in this circus of the damned, but don't count her out! Someday she'll become a burden on society, receving welfare, food stamps, WIC checks to feed her 18 babies after their daddy crawled off her and walked out of the alley behind O'Malley's Bar and Grille.

Damn my alert boyfriend for seeing smoke and hearing crackling wood from behind the garage while I was sleeping when I was sick. It's good to know that Juvie has my emotional "back" covered when it comes to arson crimes!

She is now apparently blaming us for the dead spot on her grass right next to her driveway (despite the fact that her mowing services mows it really short, and its been hot and dry lately.) She put up "Keep off the Grass" signs, pointed directly at our house. When one of them fell over, she had a hissy fit and started scream dumb a$s, and I'm going to call my lawyer. (I saw apparently, because she doesn't actually say anything to us.)

The problem is that she hollers at us every time we are outside the house. How are we to enjoy our property when a paranoid psychopath screams everytime we set foot outside the 4 walls of our home??

1) I do not appreciate loud harleys and music day in and day out.
2) I do not appreciate my neighbors large and loud parties every weekend, to the point that there is no parking if we wanted guests.
3) I do not appreciate their children(adult children too!) playing ball in a manner that my garage doors are dented, my flowerbeds are trampled, and my children are fearful of being out of doors.
4) I am bad because I installed a video camera, and a nice big sign to make sure they know they are under surveillance should I ever have to take them to court.
5) I am bad because they do not like the fact that I hose my driveway and gravity drives the water by their house in the gutter.
6) I am bad because I have yelled at their kids, which I suppose I should not have done, but heck it sure felt great after watching them stomp my tulips

So you see, I am the bad neighbor- I am picky, I am not into community property, I pay a great deal for my home and its maintence.

My NFH drives a 5.0 hopped up Mustang with a highly raised hood, loud exhaust that stops at the midsection of the undercarriage and usually has to be started 3-5 times each morning (or at 3 AM) to keep it running. The painted flames on the front fenders tell the whole story. He is a stooped back, unskilled (except is an expert at making noise and assault threats) labor who was pushed thru school because he was apparently un-trainable. He knows a few words like beer, Fxxk You, Kill you, Fxxking Stupid, turn it up, and beer, steal, vandalize, police, buddy, beer, louder, cat, dog, not I, I didn’t, pick a fight, and beer.

When this person who has trespassed on my property (I have it posted) came upon my property to threaten to kill me (it was recorded) when I captured 1 of his 3 cats and 2 dogs. I have a 4-foot wire fence that they demanded I take it down. The City Attorney sent me a ‘threat’ letter about my electric fence. I wrote back and quoted the State Statues that state that a fence only has to “keep animals off adjoining lands” and does not have to contain anything as his letter threatened. It is a barrier to dissuade their animals, kids and yard waste from getting upon my property. I paid $939 for my property to be surveyed so my fence is inside my property line. They have cut the wires and their dogs have chewed, climbed thru my fence. His fence that has to contain his 2 dogs (German Shepard and Shepard mix) and 3 cats is only 20 inches high in places next to my yard. Some places he has no fence except mine, which is 4 foot high. But they cut it. Their animals (which he says ‘never escape’) keep tearing it down. My fence was there first. Caught one person carrying a bicycle and a Doberman dog across it one night. Guess the signs saying “NO TRESPASSING” mean nothing.

I called the police who went over there to 'talk' to him. I asked that he be arrested for assault and the officer told me that the legality of the recording would be in question, I explained, that a wrong doer committing a crime is not afforded the same protection under the law. From the officer’s viewpoint, it would be illegal to videotape a bank robbery. Still he was not arrested, which is what he needed. I could go on and on about this low life-form and wife who behaves like a bar-whore. This same officer thinks that a law is not broken until the crime has been reported. Just telling the officer is not a report. You must officially report it.

The police need to get serious about citing people such as these for their bad behavior toward others. Failure of the police to take positive action will only lead a reasonable person to believe that the law enforcement body is on the take or not doing their sworn duty. Apathy is the term. Stealing from the taxpayer is another term the police should study.

I would be working in my yard and they will come out and crank up the stereo. Last weekend, the drinking buddy neighbor 1 house on the other side of the NFH came to their common boundary and started to talk face to face with the NFH. The Bar-whore wife stood next to their drinking buddy and talked about 15 seconds. Then she went back to the stereo to turn it down, so they could finish their conversation. When the drinking buddy left, the stereo went back up. You know the stereo is turned up too loud when the 2 NFH cannot even hear each other when they are face to face, and I am over 120 feet away. It is so loud, I cannot think or do yard work when they come outside. He, being mostly unemployable has a lot of time to make noise and baby sit. Yet they seem to always have money for a pool, beer and a party but sometimes cannot pay for weekly waste removal.

Anyway, I spend much of my time alone taking care of my home and grounds, studying and being quiet. I even visit my ex-wife to help her with her home. Now the NFH have figured out the address of the ex and are harassing her with drive by noise and finger signs. Why can't the NsFH just realize they were wrong and stop the bad behavior and leave others alone to enjoy the peace and quiet we have worked so hard for? Remember, they may not be smart enough to use the Internet but they do have their own 'network of thugs'.

They also have a garage band that I have reported many times, especially when it runs until 2 AM. Their 1.5 year old was driving the 'hot-rod' on the lap of the mother; I reported that to the Child Safe Network at 888-800-2642, who in turn sent them information about how to fasten their child in the safety seat. They have vandalized my wire fence that was put up to keep their 5 animals out. The City Attorney sent me a threat letter stating "the fence appears not to be built to contain something but to keep something or somebody out" and "you will be held responsible to the full extend of the law if people are injured by this fence". Clearly the LOUD people, DRINKING BUDDIES and scofflaws have an upper hand as many of the police behave in kind like these people or are either related to them, drink with them, or get ‘freebees’ from this class of people. They forgot what the term ‘reasonable’ means. The police have ignored their oath to uphold the ‘Peace’.

My last visit was 2 nights ago when I went to the PD about the band noise. The officer listened but seems uninterested. I had recorded the noise but could barely hear it sitting right next to their soda machine that was cranking out 59 dBA. I asked if there was a quieter room so he could hear the recording and the officer said “NO”. I explained that the church was having services on Wednesday evening and quoted the ordinance and the officer asked if I was in attendance and I was not. I live behind the church. Guess if no one complains, the law wasn’t really broken according to the officer. I mentioned to this officer about being assaulted and his ears perked up. (In fact, the date and time I referred to him was one time when I had reported the threat directly to him. I have a recording of our conversation in my house when the incident occurred.) The officer does not know that his visit to my house about the threat on my life was being recorded. It will be used in my next step to stop these NFH.

I have kept very detailed notes about their activities. It isn't hard to do. If they were quiet people, I would NEVER know what they were up to. Nor would I care. Since everything they do involves a lot of loud noise, it is very easy to write the occurrences down.

Also, good news for those still struggling with their N(s)FH; don't give up hope. Continue to take the high road. It is very hard, but a test of character and will- DON'T BOW DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL.

I went to court on June 21/07. It was the trial were I laid the private charge. The day before, the vindictive and hateful neighbour unleashed his terror to its maximum. He took pictures of me walking down the street, in front of my unit door, my back door and even opened my back screen door. The police was called twice and he was arrested.

On day of the trial, his lawyer came running to my lawyer (the Crown) begging to enter into a peace bond - the type that wouldn't keep him grounded in the country as he has to fly in and out of the country as many times as his job allows. Being a descent person, I agreed to have the peace bond issued. For if the trial did not come in my favour, the detectives were there waiting to unleash criminal harassment charges on him. Lucky for him, I am a merciful soul - but not a stupid one! The moment he steps outta line, and the police will be on his ass - pronto. It is only good for 1 year, but that means he may have to move to avoid breaching the peace bond. Life is grand. I'm happy my claims were validated and finally got the support I fighting to get for so long.

I know from reading some of your stories that my NFH story isn't as bad in comparison to some of your stories. This one is just annoying. We have these two people, a middle aged couple living next door who really are two of the biggest snobs I've ever seen. Now mind you, I have nothing against plants and flowers, but these people are obsessed. The world could be coming to an end and these people would be worried about their lawn and their yard.

I've been working from my home for the past seven years, so when I was outside the home working I never really got to see how these people operated. The man, who by the way, in all the years he's been living here has never gone to work. We finally got a privacy fence put up in May because the fence that they have is really old and rotting away, and of course, this idiot has his barbecue right there, so that's another reason we got the fence. It's not a pleasant thing when you feel you cannot enjoy your yard because you never know when they beady-eyed people will be looking over. And this fat slob is too cheap to get a fence of his own.

Anyway, he barbecues out there practically every day in the summer at lunchtime and also in the evenings sometimes, and our kitchen window is right there. Even though his grill is not right under our window, it's close enough so that the smoke comes into our kitchen and stinks the place up. Most summers, we've closed the windows in the kitchen and put on the exhaust fan when this jerk is barbecuing. Now he could see that we closed the windows, and do you think this jerk would take a hint? No way, never even moved the damn barbecue. It's gotten to the point where sometimes I feel like I'd like to go out there at night and destroy that grill, but I wouldn't do it. And then the other thing is that this jerk has the lawn mower going constantly in the summer, I mean, what else does he have to do? And naturally, our window in the dining room is right there and open when this idiot gets out the lawn mower. It's an electric mower, so you can smell exhaust all over the place when he's doing it.

And I know this is a very petty, small thing, but I've noticed that this fat ass jerk puts his garbage practically in front of our house. He's got plenty of room to put his damn crap, and I noticed he was putting his garbage practically smack up against ours. This stupid idiot thinks he owns the place, even the street curb which is public and which nobody owns. I know these are small things, but why do people have to be so stupid and petty? I would never put my garbage in front of anybody else's house, wouldn't even think of it. So anyway, I just ignore these people, I don't look over there when they're out or say hello. Anybody else have a similar problem with idiots like that? And to boot, there's really no space at all between our properties, they're smack up against us. If only we had just ten or fifteen feet between the properties, just a little more space. Just had to vent and get it off my chest.

It sounds like your are being put thru the ringer. Like you, I have gone to the Police, board of directors (similar to HOA), and property management. They do nothing, their words mean nothing. Simply the situation esculates because they continue to do nothing despite the fact that you are waving the red flag saying "there's a problem here"!

The dog/cat messes in their backyard make a really ‘cool’ mushy sound (I understand) when the 3 kids and 2 want-to-be adults run thru it and jump in the pool. Keeps the immune systems working overtime.

The 20+ pages of violations and occurrences have been sent to the Chief of Police and the Mayor, along with pictures. The band now only practices 1-2 time a week instead of 4-5 times a week. The animal’s messes and visits are about once every other week (that I know of) instead of 2-3 times daily.

The problem still exists so I am STILL working of getting rid of the NFH. Their lifestyle (behavior) and the band of thugs they 'run' with remind me of what happens when brothers and sisters marry. The American good character has really gone downhill. Perhaps it is the ‘hyped’ up world with the screaming ads that have brought this upon us, by greed. Songs are screamed that have no melody. Things are advertised that will only do about 20% of what the ads say. No one is liable anymore for false advertising, theft, assault, taking liberty and peace away from law-abiding people. It is a well-known fact that these neighborhood thugs, terrorist, pierced carnival creatures, tattooed billboards will never discover the answer to world problems or solve the mysteries of life. A two-celled brain only make you a little better than an amoeba protozoan. Beware when these low-life’s are in any way connected with something that has to last, like a bridge, building, etc. Remember, they are not concerned about your rights to even live.

Trying to keep calm is hard. I think the United States has an internal terrorist threat. I do not support terrorist or those neighbors whom (do nothing) give assistance to those people. If some terrible thing were to accidentally happen to any of them, like a tornado, tree falling on their house, etc., I would not at this point even offer them a dime, a glass of water or the use of a phone. That is when ALL THAT THEY HAVE EARNED will be paid back. I have thought that THEY should move to ‘their kind’. Like to the tattooed, pierced, heavy metal band, drunken, drug taking coma, vandalizing thieves, loud motorcycle, untrained and not trainable, unemployable, child molesting sex obsessed camp down near the swamp. My next course of action to combat the 76 weeks and 317 violations of Noise, Trespass, Unlawful Assembly, Speeding, Vandalism, Littering, Disorderly Conduct, Abandoned Vehicle, Animal Waste, Animals Running at Large, Assaults, Disturbing the Peace, Running Traffic Control Devices, Limitation on the number of Cats and Dogs, Disturbing Lawful Assemblies, Theft of Goods and Services, Offenses Against Morals – Obscenity, Child Passenger Protection Act is to find an attorney who handles Real-estate Law, Civil code and small claims. I intend to file action(s) against them. First, I must qualify the attorney. My questions to disqualify an attorney are this. Do you own a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle with loud pipes? . . Another make with loud pipes? Do you know any of the following police officers, city attorneys, or the mayor, or the county dogcatcher, and are you drinking buddies with any of them? . . Own any of them any money or favors? Do you know and are you beholding (owning) any favors to the defendants and/or the parents of the defendants? There seems to be a whole lot of graft going on.

How else can a person explain the same problems going on for this long after I have sent 3 letters to the chief and the mayor, 8 emails to the chief and mayor, 6 phone calls reports, and 4 trips to the PD building to file complaints. I have shown them pictures, video recordings, voice recordings and the problems only stops for 5-15 days right after the complaint. Then it starts up again. The NFH has to my knowledge only been served a Notice to Appear one time and that was because someone else complained. Is the correction problem not being done because of poor training? Graft? Laziness? Drinking buddy favor? Any favor? NFH Wife puts out? NFH Husband puts out? Families are related? Families are really brothers and sisters? Low IQ? The income from paying the fines is enough to pay the salary of an officer for a year.

The blind lady of justice does not carry a purse. It is time the Police departments also take the complaints serious. Somewhere up the chain-of-command there must be an HONEST person working for law and justice and not on the take.

Guess if no one complains, the law wasn’t really broken according to the officer. I mentioned to this officer about being assaulted and his ears perked up. (In fact, the date and time I referred to him was one time when I had reported the threat directly to him. I have a recording of our conversation in my house when the incident occurred.) The officer does not know that his visit to my house about the threat on my life was being recorded. It will be used in my next step to stop these NFH.

I have kept very detailed notes about their activities. It isn't hard to do. If they were quiet people, I would NEVER know what they were up to. Nor would I care. Since everything they do involves a lot of loud noise, it is very easy to write the occurrences down.

The privacy fence's errection was a subject for much commentary of dubious veracity on behalf of my neighbors, one of which harassed my fence builders into a very irritated state. I gave them gift certificates as hazard pay bon mots after the job was complete; hope that ameliorated matters for them. The chief fencer had attended school with the son of this particular neighbor and identified her as having been just as contentious (which is putting it rather nicely) at that time. Take my advice and put up a barrier. Your peace and quiet, or just peace of mind, will be priceless. And if the harassment continues, you can always take the bastards to small claims court and sue as many times as necessary to recoup the cost! That's my plan, anyway.
